Vocations                          Sequela Christi (Follow Christ)

The call to the contemplative life as a Carmelite Monastic nun is an invitation by the Holy Spirit to follow Christ in the work of evangelizing through a life of prayer and penance in silence and solitude by leading a more eremitical way of following the Carmelite tradition as a contemplative nun living in a small community of like-minded sisters.

The surrender of oneself to Christ as His Spouse enables one to leave the things of the material world in order to contemplate the Infinite Being of Christ, to be sanctified through the intimate contact with Him, and to intercede for the great needs and healing of others, the Church and all mankind.

If you are keenly interested in the Carmelite way of contemplative life and earnestly seek the salvation of souls and are willing to follow Christ in this way, the Holy Spirit may be calling you.

You should be between the ages of 18 and 35, be in good health and have a minimum of high school education and some work experience.

You must be free from dependents, and any debts.

You should get along well with others, have a great love for silence and be at peace spending time in solitude.
